Double-Cleanse without Over-Cleansing
Contrary to popular belief, using a makeup wipe at night DOES NOT mean you're makeup free and ready for beauty sleep. If that's part of your nightly routine, tonight try using a makeup remover or toner like Garnier Micellar Water on a cotton round after you use a makeup wipe. You'll see you still remove tons of makeup which means a makeup wipe doesn't make your skin clean!
Instead, use a makeup wipe to remove your makeup (or skip this step if you're makeup-free) then wash your face 2x at night. Once to remove the extra makeup, dirt, oil, and anything else that might be on your face from the day, and the second time to actually clean your skin.
A good way to understand how important this process is is to think about cleaning the floors. You first sweep, then mop. Most people just "sweep" their face, leading to acne and pre-mature aging.
As for the morning, just wash your face once and use a good daily moisturizer with SPF of atleast 15. Even in the winter we need SPF. You don't want to over cleanse your face too much so if you like to work out in the morning, leave the cleansing until after you're done. Over cleaning can lead to irritation and aging as well. The best way to tell if you're over-cleansing or using the wrong cleanser is if your skin feels tight, taunt, and looks red after you cleanse.
